Lab Rescue of NC's goal is to rehome all our wonderful dogs, sadly some dogs require too much ongoing care and are placed as permanent fosters for various reasons. Thankfully, some of our wonderful foster homes are able to let these dogs live out their lives with them or hospice our sicker dogs. Lab Rescue of NC continues to fund all their medical care and special diets. This can include care for arthritis (Synovi supplements, Rimadyl, or Metacam) or medications to allergies or heart conditions. Usually these dogs have had horrible starts to life or have lived rough lives. Please take a moment to consider sponsoring one of our permanent fosters.
Thank you, Bernie, Jace, Harley and Everyone at Lab Rescue of NC

BERNIE
Bernie found Lab Rescue of NC by luck. He wondered into the middle of a busy intersection that LRNC's president happened to be driving through. Bernie was taken to our vet and started the long road of caring and love he needed. Bernie was microchipped, but no one wanted to claim this traveling man. He had been adopted in Texas and Florida. We are unsure how he ended up in NC. Bernie came to us in November of 2011. His monthly care is too high for him to be adopted so his foster family has agreed to let him live with them permanently! Bernie's monthly cost average $200

JACE

Jace is a seasoned Lab Rescue of NC dog. He was originally adopted to a family in 2005. Without cause or attempt to contact us they dropped him off at a kill shelter in September of 2012. That shelter contacted us and we immediately took him. Jace has severe arthritis and has been bounced around so much. He loves his foster home and we think it's in his best interest to stay put and never be alone again. Jace's monthly pain medication is about $135 per month.

HARLEY

Harley is also a return LRNC dog. He came to us as a senior dog and was adopted. The family that adopted him didn't realize how much care Harley needs and let his health decline. However, Harley is back with his foster mom and thriving. Harley does have a heart condition and arthritis that was ignored by his adoptive mom. Now that LRNC has him back all his medical needs will be met.
